Community Paints was established in 1999 with the vision to not be just another paint company, but to be different to the norm. To achieve this goal, we had to think differently about paint and colour. Paint and colour is an emotion that people use to beautify their possessions and their environment.

Colour is a tool that sell paint and therefore Community Paints had to change the rules with new technology that would be off the same quality and better than the existing systems on the market but with different skills and different methods. Our paint is manufactured with new technology and colour is tinted to a specific colour with a dry powder pigment – a world first.

Community Paints have all the skills and know how, and therefore strives towards new technology. With this in mind, and with the vision of the company, the infrastructure has grown to such a great extent than we can produce up to 6 000 000 litres of paint per month.

Community Paints has occupied the old Premier Mill site in Vereeniging that is a historical building designed by Sir Herbert Baker in the early 1900’s and we converted it to a state of the art paint plant that is of the highest standard and our paint carries the SABS mark of quality. Community Paints is also BEE compliant and is proud to be part of the Yakani Group (Pty) Ltd.
